Introduction Nebraska is ranked 38th among the 50 states of U.S. Nebraska is located on Great Plains in Midwestern United States. Nebraska was admitted to the U.S union in 1817 as 37th state. The constitution of Nebraska provides three branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. Nebraska has a unicameral legislature, which comprises of one house known as legislature. Nebraska is the only U.S state whose legislature is non-partisan. The legislature of Nebraska can override governor’s veto with three-fifth majority. The governor of Nebraska serves a four year term and the executive branch consists of four elected officers and lieutenant governor. The highest authority in Nebraska is of Nebraska Supreme which is the final court of Appeal’s per the judiciary authority and there are several other lower courts as well.
